Matt Mireles is a serial entrepreneur, blogger, athlete, and adventurer. He currently serves as the chief executive officer of [Festive Research](https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/festive-research), an incubator for products that promote offline social interaction and fun. He is also the founder and former chief executive officer of [Humanoid](https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/humanoid), a diversified technology company that builds tools for consumer media sharing as well as crowdsourced labor technologies.
Mireles paid his way through [Columbia University](https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/columbia-university-in-the-city-of-new-york), working as a paramedic in Harlem and the South Bronx before founding Humanoid. A two-time dropout of the [University of California, Berkeley](https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/university-of-california-berkeley), he also drove an ambulance in Southeast Los Angeles and fought wildfires for the U.S. Forest Service as a member of the Modoc Interagency Hotshot Crew.
