Marnix Groet

Manager and entrepreneur. Born in the Netherlands, he has traveled extensively, lived in 6 European countries and is fluent in six languages. He graduated from Bocconi University and received his Masters in Business Administration at Warwick Business School. He is dedicated and passionate about the world of startups, and is co-founder and CEO of Creative Thinking Ventures that specializes in pre-seed financing and advisory services to startups under development. He is board member and advisor of several startup companies. He has experienced different startup situations, and the opening of new markets. And led turnarounds and the restructuring of businesses. Expert in business development and international marketing, combining the mindset of the multinational with the capability of initiative typical of entrepreneurial companies. He began his career with PPG Industries, was buyer for Leroy-Merlin (Auchan Group), then business unit manager in Inda and COO of Inda France. And finally division director for the US multinational company Sherwin-Williams. His activities as an entrepreneur began in 2004 with a consultancy aimed at developing sales networks, and confirmed in 2009 with the first investments in nano and micro caps on the NASDAQ. His main interest is in commerce and retail, online and offline, marketplaces and startups operating in the sharing economy. He is member of IBAN, Italian Business Angels Network.
