As an Advisor to G-51, Marc brings extensive technical knowledge and entrepreneurial experience to the firm.
He was one of the first dozen people at Telenet Communications, a pioneering company in the data communications industry and then, in 1985, became the founding CTO of America Online. In 1996, he retired from AOL and, with his wife Carolyn, returned to Central Texas.
Since returning to Texas, Mr. Seriff has been actively involved in the non-profit community. He was involved in the creation of the Dell Jewish Community Center and the Boys & Girls Club of the Highland Lakes, where he served as a board member. He is active with UT Austin, serving on the Commission of 125 and advisory councils for the Department of Theatre and Dance, College of Natural Sciences, Department of Computer Science and Longhorn Foundation. Mr. Seriff was a co-founder and trustee of The Seriff Foundation, a management service organization that assisted and incubated non-profits in the Highland Lakes from 2001 until 2008. He currently serves on the board of the Long Center for the Performing Arts.
