Dr. Lee Ng is passionate about technology innovation and new business creation. As a Director of Venture Technology at Siemens Technology-to-Business Center (TTB), she leverages her past experience in manufacturing, business development, consulting, and venture capital to scout for new technologies and develop new businesses for Siemens. Her current focus is in industrial automation, drive technologies, water, energy efficiency and transportation technologies.
Before Siemens, Lee was a Business Director of New Business Creation at Agilent Central Research Laboratories where she worked with startups and internal incubation. Priori to Agilent being spun out of Hewlett Packard, she was in manufacturing R&D, product generation and strategy consulting at HP. Early in her career, Lee consulted for a variety of Fortune 500 companies at IBIS Consulting and evaluated the viability of new business ventures and corporate spin-offs and for Ampersand Ventures in the east coast.
Lee holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from MIT, with minors in economics, finance, and strategy.
