Pasternak has over 25 years of experience investing in real estate. The Pasternak Family Office currently owns and/or operates approximately $100 million worth of real estate assets. Pasternak began his career at Spear, Leeds & Kellogg in 1979 and eventually became the head of all capital markets. In 1995, Pasternak co-founded Knight Trading Group, a publicly traded multi-billion dollar financial services company. Pasternak served as Knight"s Chairman and CEO from its founding through 2002. While there, Pasternak engaged in more than $1 billion of capital transactions and managed a $5 billion balance sheet. Under his leadership, Knight"s market capitalization exceeded $5 billion. After retiring from Knight Trading Group, Pasternak founded Chestnut Ridge Capital, LLC, a Northern New Jersey family office with over $300 million in assets under management.
