Founded in 1983, Primus is a private equity firm established to invest in growth capital opportunities, recapitalizations and management-led buyouts. Primus will invest $15 million to $40 million per transaction, with the ability to arrange much larger equity investments with participation of Primus Limited Partners. Although experienced in a number of industries, Primus places an increased emphasis on business services, healthcare, and for-profit education. Primus is currently investing its sixth fund, Primus Capital Fund VI. Primus targets companies with enterprise values up to $250 million, with an investment of $15 - $40 million; larger with limited partner co-investment.
