Joseph Schull

Joseph Schull serves as Managing Director and Special Limited Partner, Technology, Media and Telecommunications at Warburg Pincus. He also serves as a Board Member at Validis Holdings. Previously, he served as a Head of Technology, Media and Telecommunications in Europe at Warburg Pincus. Schull joined the firm in 1998 and has been responsible for Warburg Pincus' technology, media and telecommunications investments in Europe, as well as its investment activities in Emerging Europe. He also is a member of the firm's executive management group. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, he was deputy director of the international affairs program at the Ford Foundation. Schull has been involved in Warburg Pincus investments in broadcasting, telecommunications, cable television, information services, Internet, education and pharmaceuticals. He is a director of Ziggo. Schull holds a B.A. and M.A. from McGill University, Canada where he studied politics, philosophy and economics. He also received a D. Phil. from Oxford University, where he was University Lecturer from 1990 to 1991. He also serves as a Board Member at Ecrebo.
