Joseph Caruso serves as President at Bantam Group. He also served as Investment Committee Member at Castor Ventures. He is a prolific investor, advocate for entrepreneurs, and Board Member. For over 20 years, through the Bantam Group (his consulting/investing entity), he has helped hundreds of entrepreneurs from MIT, other schools, and various startups realize their goals and grow their companies. Joe is currently a director of Boston Micromachines Corp, Cambrian Innovation, and Allyke, and is on the President's Council at Olin College of Engineering. He is also the Founder of BREW, Boston Region Entrepreneur Week. In addition, he is a Catalyst for MIT's Deshpande Center and is well connected in the MIT ecosystem. Early in his career, Joe worked at Teradyne and Autex, both legendary MIT spinoff companies. He then was CEO at Cyborg Corporation, a venture-funded company that was a pioneer in the use of PCs in laboratory and factory automation. Joe holds a BSEE with honors from Northeastern University, an MBA from the Harvard Business School, and has also attended Suffolk Law School. Joe Caruso is also an angel investor.
