Tech Fort Worth is a privately funded, non-profit business incubator founded in February 1998. TECH Fort Worth is a public-private partnership of the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, The City of Fort Worth, and the Fort Worth business community. The organization works with technology startup companies which have based their businesses on proprietary technology they have developed or acquired. TECH Fort Worth works closely with these companies to create feasible business plans, to develop effective marketing strategies, to build strong management teams, and to launch them successfully into the Fort Worth economy. Cowtown Angels, a program of TECH Fort Worth, maintains a mission to connect high-performance, technology-based startups with accredited investors in North Texas. The Acceleration Program at TECH Fort Worth is designed for early stage companies that are commercializing new and unique technologies. Companies accepted into the Acceleration Program are able to lease space within a TECH Fort Worth facility. These facilities include office at the Guinn School Gymnasium and wet labs in the Acceleration Lab at the University of North Texas Health Science Center.
