John Goff

John Goff is a Co-Founder and serves as Chief Executive Officer & Chairman of Crescent Real Estate Equities. Under the helm of Goff as Vice Chairman and CEO, Crescent grew from approximately $500 million at its IPO to $6.5 billion upon its sale in August 2007 to Morgan Stanley. Crescent provided its shareholders a 15.4% compounded annual return during its 13 year tenure as a public company including the payment of more than $2.5 billion in quarterly cash dividends. In November 2009, Goff, through his private investment firm Goff Capital, teamed up with Barclays Capital in a joint venture to reacquire Crescent Real Estate. Goff now serves as Chairman and CEO of Crescent Real Estate Holdings. In 2014, Goff was inducted as a member of McCombs Business School Hall of Fame at The University of Texas at Austin and was named EY Entrepreneur of the Year for the Southwest Region in the real estate and construction category. In addition to real estate, Goff Capital invests in public securities, energy, as well as private equity. Goff also serves as Managing Principal of Goff Capital Partners, which focuses primarily on investments in real estate debt and currently manages a portfolio of more than $4 billion in debt securities through offices in Fort Worth, Denver and Stamford, Connecticut. Goff founded the investment company during the credit crisis of 1998. Goff directs much of his charitable efforts through The Goff Family Foundation. The Foundation principally focuses on education, providing scholarships in primary and secondary education and creative solutions for specific schools in need.
