Jay is the managing general partner of Clarkston Merchant Partners where he is responsible for making and managing the firm’s principal investments.
Before co-founding Clarkston Merchant Partners, Jay co-founded and managed Adams Harkness Ventures, a technology-focused venture capital fund.
Prior to Adams Harkness Ventures, Jay was a senior investment banker at Adams Harkness & Hill where he advised technology companies with respect to raising public and private equity capital and in merger and acquisition transactions.
During that tenure, he helped his clients successfully complete more than $2.8 billion of transaction volume.
Jay, a CPA, began his career with KPMG Peat Marwick before joining the software and consulting division Siemens-Nixdorf Information Systems.
Jay graduated from Providence College, and received his MBA from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
