Jason Macatangay serves as Vice President of Finance and Treasurer at Threadless. He served as a Vice President at Valor. Macatangay has 13 years of audit, consulting, operational and transactional experience. At Valor, Macatangay is responsible for financial modeling, due diligence of potential acquisitions, industry research and active management of portfolio companies. Prior to joining Valor in 2008, Macatangay was the Finance Director and Marketing Controller of the Office Products Group of Newell Rubbermaid. Macatangay provided financial leadership to senior management on financial and business matters through value-added strategies and initiatives for the $1.2 billion writing and office organization business. Prior to Macatangay's position at Newell Rubbermaid, Macatangay was a Manager in Investor Relations and Competitor Analysis for Kellogg Company, an $11 billion global producer of cereal and snack food. He performed quantitative and qualitative research on peer group companies in the food industry representing $140 billion net sales. From 1995 to 1999, Macatangay was a Senior Auditor at Deloitte & Touche where he supervised teams in financial audits of public and private companies, governments, and not-for-profits. Macatangay holds a B.A. from Loyola University Chicago cum laude (Accounting) and a Masters in Business Administration for Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. In 1995, he became a Certified Public Accountant in Illinois.
