White Deer Energy is an investment advisory firm that was founded in 2008 to manage energy private equity funds. The firm currently manages $2.2 billion in two private equity funds. The Funds are middle market buy-and-build private equity funds that focus on investing in oil and gas exploration and production, oilfield service and equipment and the midstream sectors of the energy business. The general partner of the Funds is Edelman & Guill Energy L.P, which makes all investment decisions for the Funds. As of December 31, 2011, the Funds' committed capital totaled $822.4 million. White Deer targets equity investments of $50 to $150 million.
