James Freedman is Co-Founder and serves as Executive Chairman at Zone. He provides the strategic direction that has seen Zone become the biggest independent digital agency in the UK. A hugely experienced business leader, James has over the years overseen a number of acquisitions that have expanded our skillset to provide the unique range of capabilities we offer today, while also helping us to build and maintain our impressive blue-chip client list. James began the Zone story in a bedroom in north-west London, when he and his wife Anna Kissin, launched the official Manchester United magazine in 1993. The title became the biggest selling sports monthly in the UK and led to projects with such global sports brands as the Football Association, AS Roma, Channel 4, Liverpool FC and Chelsea FC. In 1999, he sold the newsstand publishing business and acquired tech consultancy Quantum, combining them to form one of the nation's first digital agencies.
