James Colgan

James Colgan serves as Portfolio Manager - Small Cap Growth at Frontier Capital Management. He serves as a Board Member at Assette. Since 2001, he has managed a portion of the firm's $2.5 billion small-to-mid-cap portfolio. Colgan specializes in creating innovative investment ideas, monitoring existing equity holdings, collaborating with sell-side analysts, and building quarterly financial models for long-term holdings. He has also held management positions at Digital Equipment Corporation and United Technologies Corporation. Colgan holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science from the University of Connecticut, an M.S. in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.B.A. from MIT.
