Jack McDonald is Founder, Chairman of the Board, and CEO of Silverback Enterprise Group.
Founded in 2010 and backed by Austin Ventures, a $3.9 billion venture capital firm, Silverback acquires and builds industry-leading enterprise software companies.
In the past 15 months, Silverback has completed four acquisitions and its PowerSteering Software subsidiary is today the largest cloud software company in the enterprise project and portfolio management (PPM) market, with over 800 active enterprise customers and more than 250,000 active users in 50 countries.
Prior to Silverback, Jack was Chairman of the Board and CEO of Perficient, Inc., a leading information technology consulting firm, from 1999-2009, where he led a team that grew the business from startup to a publicly traded (NASDAQ: PRFT) $250 million revenues award-winning industry leader with operations in North America, Europe, China and India.
Jack is a serial entrepreneur and a winner of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
He is actively involved in the Austin civic and nonprofit community and currently serves as chairman elect of the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, chairman of PeopleFund, a community development loan fund for low-income entrepreneurs, and serves on the Board of Directors for KIPP Austin Public Schools, a network of seven nonprofit schools serving more than 2,000 students in east Austin.
Jack previously served as Chairman of the Greater Austin Technology Partnership and Chairman of Texas Emerging Technology Fund for the central Texas region, as well as on the Board of Peoples Community Clinic, which provides high quality healthcare to more than 10,000 low income central Texans.
