Mr. Frederick J. Beste, III, also known as Fred, serves as an Advisor of EggZack, Inc. Mr. Beste is a Founding Partner, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mid-Atlantic Venture Funds. Mr. Beste joined Mid-Atlantic in 1984 as the Founding President and Chief Executive Officer of its first general partner. Mr. Beste is a Partner Emeritus at Originate Ventures. He is a highly regarded venture capitalist in the mid-Atlantic region with a successful track record investing in Mid-Atlantic early stage companies. Mr. Beste has spent his entire career in the venture capital industry and has 21 years of operating experience and more than 30 years of venture capital experience. In 1975, he joined Kentucky Highlands Investment Corporation, where he was a Vice President and ultimately served as the President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Beste began his career in 1968 as a Vice President and Treasurer of Greater Washington Investors Inc. During the course of his career, he served on the Boards of several operating companies and has advised and worked with thousands of entrepreneurs. He was a Fund Advisor at BR Ventures. Since 2000, Mr. Beste was an Adjunct Professor in the M.B.A. program at Graduate Business School of Cornell University, where he taught Case Studies in Entrepreneurial Finance from 2000 to 2009. He is a Member of Advisory Board of NextStage Capital, L.P. He serves as the Chairman of Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania and was its Vice-Chairman. Mr. Beste serves as a Director of Blue Rock Management Corporation, Delex Systems Inc., Medtrex Inc., Outdoor Venture Corporation, Form Design Corporation, Casecraft Corporation, and Storeroom Solutions, Inc. He serves as a Director of Allegheny Child Care Academy Inc. Mr. Beste was the Chairman of the 1994 Mid-Atlantic Venture Fair. He was widely published on the subjects of venture capital and entrepreneurship and has done extensive public speaking on both subjects as well. Mr. Beste was the recipient of the Greater Philadelphia Venture Group's 1995 Blair L. Thompson Memorial Award for career achievement in venture capital and Early Stage East's inaugural (2001) Sal Buccieri Memorial Venture Impact Award for early stage venture capital investment achievement. He served as a Director of ITA Holdings, Inc. He received a B.A. degree in Economics from the Stetson University.
