The firm is currently limiting investments to Greater Boston area colleges and universities. Undergrads, graduate students, and MBAs all qualify. At least one of the main founders has to be student. Rough Draft focuses on investments with a heavy software focus, including hardware/software systems companies. The firm's initial investments are backed by local VC firm, General Catalyst.
