Mr. Jannotta, Jr served until 2011 as Principal and co-manager of the Healthcare Group at GTCR. Since 1980, GTCR has invested more than $9 billion in private equity capital over 200 companies.
One of seven founding Principals of GTCR, which was one of the successor private equity organizations to Golder, Thoma and Cressey, Mr. Jannotta Jr., was responsible for investing Funds VI, VII, VIII and IX, which collectively totaled over $7.5 billion in equity capital. His investments for GTCR generated returns in excess of 30% compounded per annum. Prior to GTCR, Mr. Jannotta Jr. served as Managing Director of William Blair Leveraged Buy-Out Fund. At WBLBF, he was responsible for originating, analyzing, negotiating, closing and then monitoring equity investments in leveraged buyouts and served as the lead Board Director for several investments. Prior to that, he served as a financial analyst at Solomon Brothers.Retired from GTCR in March 2011, Mr. Jannotta Jr. is currently active investing personal funds in private companies and real estate as well as involved as a Director of three private companies including Alcyone Lifesciences and two non-profits.
