Deborah Mosca has over 30 years of experience in roles of increasing responsibility within various organizations, including biotech, non-profit research, and large pharma. A major portion of her experience includes evaluation of natural products from marine sources for anti-infective, oncologic, and agricultural applications. Currently, she works as the chief executive officer of Marine Bio-Technologies Center of Innovation.
In her previous role at PaxVax as the vice president of project management, Mosca provided strategic leadership for the company’s vaccine development programs and assisted with revenue generation through contracts, licensing, corporate partnerships, and venture capital activities. She is a proven leader of multi‐disciplinary project teams focused on discovery and development of novel therapeutic agents and displays the ability to anticipate risks and implement creative solutions to meet project timelines and budgets.
Mosca received her bachelor’s degree of science in biology and genetics from Cornell University and her doctorate in biology from State University of New York at Buffalo. She has published 42 papers and abstracts and has been involved in the approval of seven patents.
