Mr. Asack joined Spaulding & Slye Investments in 2004 and currently serves as Managing Director. In this role, Mr. Asack works closely with corporate and investor clients to structure real estate transactions that meet investment objectives and generate attractive, risk-adjusted returns.
He has over 20 years of real estate investment experience and since 2007 has been singularly focused on directing the acquisition activities of the firm’s Federal Partners fund, a $925 million co-investment joint venture with the California State Teachers Retirement System (CalSTRS) investing in U.S. Government-leased assets around the continental United States. In this function, Mr. Asack provides overarching coordination of the purchase of both existing and to-be-built properties as well as evaluating joint-venture development opportunities to construct federally tenanted facilities.
Prior Experience
Preceding his current role, Mr. Asack led the acquisition function for Spaulding & Slye Investments’ Funds business. In this capacity, he acquired assets for both Federal Partners and Windsor Realty Fund IV, a discretionary office investment vehicle in partnership with General Investment & Development and a confidential pension fund.
Mr. Asack also served as Vice President in Jones Lang LaSalle’s Capital Markets group, where he participated in numerous investor and corporate real estate sales transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $500 million. His clients have included CarVal Investors, Archon, Government of Singapore, Transatlantic Investment Management, OneBeacon Insurance, BankBoston, and Compaq.
Before joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Mr. Asack was a member of the Investments Division of GE Capital Investment Advisors (GECIA), a pension fund advisory firm, and its numerous predecessor entities. While with GECIA, he was responsible for the acquisition of multiple real estate product types along the eastern seaboard on behalf of the firm’s public and private pension fund clients
