Darren Throop

Darren Throop serves as President, Chief Executive Officer & Board of Director at Entertainment One. He has over 20 years of executive management experience in the entertainment industry. Darren has been Chief Executive Officer of Entertainment One since July 2003 and has been part of the Group since 1999. Previously, Darren was the owner of Urban Sound Exchange between 1991 and 1999 when it was acquired by the Group. He was appointed a non-executive director of IMAX Corporation on 1 June 2015. With eOne's comprehensive North American distribution network in place, Darren began aggressively acquiring the rights for specialty content. In 2007, to fund expansion into independent feature film distribution and rights ownership, Darren orchestrated eOne's movement to London's Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in a $200 million IPO.
