Daron is a U.S. National, fluent in English, Russian, Ukrainian, and conversant in Spanish, with over 13 years of international work experience in Eastern and Western Europe. He is an avid entrepreneur focused on developing high growth, value-based companies. His experience spans multiple industries but is focused on developing and managing turn-key hotel projects including building a fully vertical company structure, nurturing and managing internal teams working in various field related disciplines (ie: feasibility, project engineering & TSA support, construction project management and proprietary construction teams, interior design, facade design, FF&E sourcing, and pre-opening/management). He has extensive experience in deal structuring and mitigating financial investment risks in volatile markets. In addition, he is well versed in cross-border finance and has extensively worked with private equity groups active in the region focused on investing in hospitality real estate projects. He has led acquisition activity in Western Europe purchasing and evaluating assets for HNWI to add cash generating assets to their investment portfolios. He has a deep knowledge of local laws and procedures throughout the CIS, as well as a strong grasp of contract negotiation, managing DD, writing and presenting investment decks, and LOI/MOU drafting. Daron is a team player and has experience working closely with and managing hotel management teams during pre-opening, asset management teams during stabilization period, brand representatives and even working with legal teams in negotiating HMA agreements and finding common ground for difficult clients. He works very well in high pressure and challenging situations and enjoys investing in start-up companies as a hobby, helping guide entrepreneurs through difficult markets and countries which have high barriers to entry.
