Dara Khosrowshahi is a Board Member and serves as Chief Executive Officer at Uber. He is also a Board Member of Expedia, Grab and Fanatics. He formerly served as President and Chief Executive Officer at Expedia since 2005. He is also an angel investor. During his 12-year tenure as CEO at Expedia, he oversaw a revitalization and dramatic expansion of the business, which began more than 21 years ago as a small Microsoft division. Previously, he served as Director at TripAdvisor, until February 2013 and as Director and Member of the Audit Committee and Technology and Innovation Committee at The New York Times until September 2017. He also served as Chief Executive Officer at IAC Travel, a division of IAC, from January 2005 until Expedia was later spun off. Prior to his tenure as Chief Executive Officer of IAC Travel, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at IAC from January 2002 to January 2005. He served as IAC's Executive Vice President, Operations and Strategic Planning, from July 2000 to January 2002 and as President, USA Networks Interactive, a division of IAC, from 1999 to 2000. He joined IAC in 1998 as Vice President of Strategic Planning and was promoted to Senior Vice President in 1999. He worked at Allen & Company LLC from 1991 to 1998, where he served as Vice President from 1995 to 1998. He came to America at nine years old when his family escaped Iran on the eve of the Iranian Revolution. He spent many years at IAC serving as Chief Financial Officer and in various operational and strategic roles. He holds a BA in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Brown University.
