Dalen Slater is an executive vice president and chief credit officer for Zions Bank. He is responsible for managing the bank’s credit organizations, policy and staff. Specifically, Slater oversees credit for the specialty banking markets, including National Real Estate, Leasing, Public Finance, Correspondent Banking and Dealer Banking.
Slater has been a credit examination supervisor with Zions Bank since October 2004. Prior to joining Zions Bank, he served almost four years as a national bank examiner with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. His career has also included positions as a senior examiner for the Office of Thrift Supervision and the Utah Department of Financial Institutions. He also served for seven years as chief financial officer of Buffalo Federal Savings Bank in Buffalo, Wyoming.
Slater received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Weber State University and is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School.
