Charles Fowler serves as Board Member at Fairmount Santrol. Charles Fowler served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Case Western Reserve University. He has served as a director of Fairmount Santrol since 1984 and as Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Fairmount Santrol board, was President and Chief Executive Officer of Fairmount Santrol from 1996 until 2013, and is a co-founder of Fairmount Minerals, a predecessor entity of Fairmount Santrol. He also currently serves as a Board Member at SplashLink. A native of Danville, Illinois, Fowler has held leadership positions in the mineral production industry for more than four decades. He is past president of both Wedron Silica Company and Martin Marietta Corporation's Industrial Sand Division. Chuck Fowler joined Fairmount Santrol, Ltd. in 1986 and has grown the business to become one of the largest producers of industrial sand products in the United States. Fairmount Santrol has earned numerous awards and recognition for its sustainable business practices, including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Business Civic Leadership Center 2006 Corporate Stewardship Award, the National Association of Manufacturers Sandy Trowbridge Award for Social Responsibility, and the Ford Motor Company 2005 World Excellence Award for Corporate Social Responsibility.
