Brett Cummings

Brett Cummings serves as Chief Executive Officer at Left Coast Ventures. Cummings serves as Advisor at 8VC. Prior to joining 8VC, he served as Chief Financial Officer at Formation 8 and Velocity Pharmaceutical Development. He serves as an Executive Officer at Encored Technologies. He started his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) on the Audit and Business Advisory Services team in New York and San Francisco. In his role with PwC, Cummings supervised and trained audit team members and worked with multiple insurance and investment management clients, including Swiss Re, California State Automobile Association (CSAA), Esurance, Stanford Endowment Fund, UCSF Endowment Fund, and Franklin Templeton Investments. Cummings received dual degrees in Finance and Accounting from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. Cummings earned his CPA in 2006 and is a member of the AICPA, California CPA Society, and the Silicon Valley Bank NextGen Advisory Board. He was a Board Member of Spitfire Pharma.
