Bernd Petak

Bernd Petak is a technology investment professional, corporate director, founder, advisor, and consultant to early and mid-stage technology companies and their investors. After eight years as an engineer and technology strategic planner he graduated with an MBA from the Ivey School of Business. Subsequently, Bernd finished a decade-long tenure at Deloitte including the role of partner responsible for the firm’s regional strategy and operations practice. Bernd left Deloitte to found his first startup in 2003, which exited via strategic sale. Bernd acted as interim CFO of a major Canadian bank lending institution and is a multi-time CEO, CFO and COO. He is former president of LX Ventures, a Vancouver-based venture capital fund. Currently he is investment partner for Northmark Ventures, a technology investment firm based in Whitehorse, Vancouver and Calgary, Canada.
