Founded in 1984, Alpha Capital is a private equity investment firm that provides equity financing for promising growth businesses and for buyouts or recapitalizations of established companies. The investment activity of Alpha Capital is concentrated in the greater Midwest, however, Alpha will consider investments on a nationwide basis. Currently, Alpha and affiliates manage over $135,000,000 in three venture capital partnerships and other equity accounts. With approximately $90 million of capital, Alpha Capital's latest limited partnership fund is actively investing at this time. For Private Equity financings, Alpha targets businesses generating revenues from $15 million to $100 million and invests primarily in manufacturing and value-added distribution businesses. In addition, Alpha Capital will consider consumer-related investments including consumer products, retailers and restaurant chains. For Growth Stage Venture investments, Alpha targets promising young companies with a commercially developed product needing financing primarily for marketing and business expansion. Generally, companies of interest will have current run rate revenues of at least $5.0 million. Alpha Capital does not invest in start-up or early stage enterprises, except where proceeds are used for acquisition purposes. Alpha will typically invest $500,000 to $5,000,000 in an enterprise. The firm often is a lead investor or an active participant in multi-investor financings of $2.0 to $15.0 million. Alpha Capital will arrange co-investment capital including capital from its Limited Partner group.
