Asiff Hirji

Asiff Hirji serves as President & Chief Operating Officer at Coinbase. Hirji also serves as Board Member at Informatica. He served as Senior Vice President & Chief Restructuring Officer of Enterprise Services at Hewlett-Packard. He was a Partner at Andreessen Horowitz. Asiff is the founder of Inflekxion LLC, a private investment and performance enhancement firm. The firm invests transformational operating capability and capital to companies at an inflection point in their development. From 2007 to 2013, Asiff was a Partner with TPG Capital and helped lead their efforts in Financial Services, Technology and E-commerce. Beyond typical deal responsibilities, he drove the transformation work at the newly acquired portfolio companies in these sectors. From 2003 to 2007, Asiff was an executive officer of TD AMERITRADE. He served first as their Chief Information Officer and then their Chief Operating Officer where he led the Operations, Technology and Business Development functions. He then became President overseeing all their businesses and a member of the Office of the Chief Executive. He also helped lead over a dozen acquisitions including the two largest in the industry. Prior to Ameritrade, Asiff was a Partner at Bain & Company and a leader of their IT and Financial Services practices. Before Bain, Asiff was President and Chief Technology Officer for Netfolio, an online investment advisor start-up. He was also a founding member and Partner of the Mitchell Madison Group, a global strategic consultancy that specialized in Financial Services and Technology. Asiff serves on the boards of Citrix Systems Inc., Advent Software Inc., Saxo Bank, RentPath, and TSL Education. He has also served on the boards of, or acted as an adviser to, Eze Software Group, Decision Insights, American Beacon Advisors, Sabre, IMS Health, Avaya and LPL Financial. Asiff is a Lecturer at the Haas School of Business, Berkeley where he teaches a 2nd year MBA course on Private Equity. Asiff received an MBA with honors from The University of Western Ontar.
