Asif Awan

Asif Awan is a Co-Founder of Layered Insight and also serves as its Chief Executive Officer. Asif Awan serves as an Advisor & Investor at Jvion. Asif is a successful serial entrepreneur with a broad business and technology expertise that spans across healthcare, financial, enterprise and payments domains, and cloud, mobile and deep learning technologies. He is currently the founder and CTO of a stealth startup and sits on board of various start-ups. Asif also invests in early stage companies. He is a pioneer in the Mobile Application Management space. Back in 2011, he identified a serious gap in the enterprise solutions being offered for BYOD, envisioned an innovative user-space virtualization solution, and founded Plursona to realize that vision. Plursona was acquired in 2012 by Aruba Networks (ARUN) for its best-in-class technology. Post-acquisition he worked for the Office of CTO at Aruba and was responsible for defining and implementing the strategic vision for the Mobile Device and Application Management product suites. Asif has held various technology and business leadership positions at Motorola Mobility, Wells Fargo, Juniper Networks and Guidant (Boston Scientific). He was one of the key members for Boston Scientific's Latitude Patient Management System, a remote monitoring service for patients with implanted cardiac devices, which was launched in 2003. Asif has a master's in Artificial Intelligence and a bachelor's in Computer Science.
