Alan Shor

Alan Shor serves as an Operating Partner at Parallel Investment Partners. He also is an Angel Investor. Shor serves as the Operating Partner of Consumer in Riata Capital Group. He is also Co-Founder and President of The Retail Connection, a real estate advisory, management, and investment firm that represents over 250 retail and restaurant chains, including Bed Bath & Beyond, The Sports Authority, Nordstrom Rack, and JP Morgan Chase. He is involved in the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the company, leading its investment and merchant banking business. Prior to The Retail Connection, Shor served as President, Chief Operating Officer, and member of the Board of Directors of Zale Corporation, North America's largest specialty retailer of fine jewelry with 2,300 retail locations. Prior to joining Zale as its Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary, Shor worked with Troutman Sanders, a national law firm, where he served as the Managing Partner of the firm's Washington, D.C. office. Shor formerly served on the Board of Directors of Teavana Holdings and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Mealey's Furniture, Inc., USA Discounters Inc., and European Wax Center. Shor is an adjunct professor at the Edwin L. Cox School of Business, Southern Methodist University. He is a member of the World President's Organization, National Retail Federation, and International Council of Shopping Centers. Shor served on the Board of Directors of UPLIFT Education, a charter school initiative, and was the Chairman of the Aaron Family Jewish Community Center of Dallas. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Aaron Family JCC, Temple Emanu-El, and the JFGD. Shor graduated with honors from the University of Georgia and the University of Georgia School of Law. He also serves as a Board Memebr at Neighborhood Goods.
