Yale University Plan of Health Coverage for Retired Employees is a single-employer corporate pension fund based in New Haven, Connecticut. The plan was established in 1994 to fund medical benefits under the plan. The trust is funded by contributions from Yale University (Plan Administrator) and pays benefits on behalf of the plan. The plan provides health benefits like hospitalization, physician services, prescription coverage, major medical services in excess of Medicare coverage, to retired faculty, retired staff employees and dependents. The assets of the pension fund are managed and governed by an executive management team. The custodian holds the plan's investment assets and executes investment transactions. Northern Trust serves as the custodian of the plan.
