St. Louis Employees Retirement System is a cost-sharing, multiple-employer, defined benefit public pension fund based in Saint Louis, Missouri. Founded in 1960, the plan provides retirement, disability, and death benefits to public employees and certain other public entities funded by or providing services to residents of the city of Saint Louis, Missouri, and their eligible beneficiaries. The pension plan is governed by a six-member board of trustees who are responsible for the establishment of policy and rules as may be necessary for the administration and operation of the retirement system.
