San Francisco Employees' Retirement System (SFERS) is a public pension fund based in San Francisco, California. Established in 1920, SFERS provides service retirement benefits based on age at retirement, years of service, and final compensation. The fund is dedicated to securing, protecting, and prudently investing the pension trust assets, administering mandated benefits programs, and providing promised benefits to the active and retired members of the City and County of San Francisco. The assets of the pension fund are managed by the board members.
