Iowa Public Employees' Retirement System (IPERS) is a defined benefit public pension fund based in Des Moines, Iowa. Established in 1953 by Iowa Legislature to replace the Iowa Old-Age and Survivors' Insurance System (IOASI), the plan provides retirement and pension benefits to the eligible employees of the State. The fund is managed by the board members.
