Fountainhead Venture Group is a Philadelphia-based investment partnership that makes early- to mid-stage venture capital investments at the intersection of health care, life sciences, and information technology. We look for companies providing technology-based products and services or technology-enabled new business models to health care payers and providers or to the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries. Fountainhead was founded by Tom Olenzak, John Braca, and Frank Lexa, all experienced health care venture capitalists. Tom founded and ran the First Ventures Healthcare and Life Sciences Investment Fund, LLC, a corporate venture fund formed by First Consulting Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: FCGI) to invest in emerging health care and life sciences technology companies. John was most recently a General Partner of S.R. One, the venture capital arm of GlaxoSmithKline, and was a partner and founder of EuclidSR investments. Frank is a practicing physician and a professor with both the School of Medicine and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and was a partner with Philadelphia Ventures.
