Belgian Investment Company for Developing Countries (BDIO) is an economic development agency based in Brussels, Belgium. Established in 2001, the mission of the agency is to support the private sector in developing and emerging countries, to enable them to gain access to growth and sustainable development with the aim of achieving the millennium development goals. BDIO invests directly in private sector projects and as such makes a structural contribution to the socio-economic growth of those host countries. Its mandate requires criteria in terms of geographical targets, financing tools, and above all, impact on development. The assets of the firm are managed by the Board of Directors.Belgian Investment Company for Developing Countries' investment portfolio is valued at EUR457.90 million, with investments in private equity and cash.
