Tower Health is an independent non-profit foundation located in Reading, Pennsylvania. Established in 1866 as a small dispensary, Tower includes Reading Hospital, a 695-bed acute care hospital located in West Reading, Pennsylvania and rehabilitation hospital, a facility in Spring Township, featuring a 50-bed skilled nursing unit and a 62-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit. It provide office-based primary and specialty care through Reading Health Physician Network, in-home nursing care through Affilia Home Health and retirement living through The Highlands at Wyomissing. The assets of the foundation are managed and governed by the Board of Trustees.Reading Health System's investment portfolio is valued at over $114.19 million, with investments in private equity and cash.
