Ohio State Highway Patrol Retirement System (OHPRS) is a public pension fund based in Columbus, Ohio. The system was established by the Ohio General Assembly in 1941 for troopers and communications personnel employed by the Highway Patrol. The pension fund provides age, service, disability, survivor, death benefits, as well as health care coverage for benefit recipients and eligible dependents. The mission of the fund is to provide stable pension services that are fiscally responsible, administered, and delivered with understanding and responsiveness to all members and beneficiaries. The fund is managed by an eleven-member retirement board.
