Investec Asset Management is an investment management firm that pursues a variety of investing strategies for both individual and institutional clients. The firm's alternative investing branch makes private equity and private debt strategies with a focus on the African market. The firm was founded in 1991 in South Africa and it operates as a subsidiary of Investec Group Limited. Investec AM had more than $145bn (120.5bn) of assets under management as at end March 2018.
