DuPont Ventures' mission is to enhance the success of entrepreneurial companies, while creating growth opportunities for DuPont. Unlike traditional venture capitalists, DuPont enters into value-generating relationships with its portfolio companies. These relationships can include: joint development agreements; marketing agreements; licensing deals; or other business development activities. DuPont invests in companies with funding needs of $1 million - $10 million in capital. As part of its investment, the firm often seeks an option for a technology license or a marketing relationship to launch a new DuPont business. Current areas of interest include: Advanced Materials, Agriculture, CleanTech, Construction, Health Care, Electronic Materials, Safety Technology, and Transportation.
