The firm targets established companies that are underperforming, but have franchise value potential. Ideal companies are those in the manufacturing, marketing, distribution, services, and retail operations industries with revenues between $10 million and $200 million.The firm does not seek to invest in software, oil and gas and real estate based businesses, startup and early stage emerging companies. Dauntless also invests in non-performing and sub-performing financial assets as a means of acquiring troubled companies.
