Wai Hoong Fock leads General Atlantic’s Southeast Asia investing program and is based in our Singapore office. Wai Hoong joined General Atlantic in 2015.
Prior to joining General Atlantic, Wai Hoong was at CVC Capital Partners, where he was responsible for the firm’s business in Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam, including transaction execution and portfolio monitoring across the region. Mr. Fock served on the board of directors for several CVC Capital Partners’ investments including Magnum Corporation, a leading lottery operator in Malaysia; Matahari Department Stores, Indonesia’s leading department store brand; Link Net, a leading fixed broadband and cable TV operator in Indonesia; and QSR Brands, the largest fast food operator in Malaysia.
Earlier in his career, Wai Hoong held a variety of investment management and investment banking roles at firms including Headlands Capital Partners, LLC, Blum Capital Partners LP, and Morgan Stanley.
He graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Michigan.
