Spinnaker Capital, LLC is the alternative investment division of The Bollard Group, LLC. Spinnaker has been investing directly in private companies and has been making commitments to funds since 1997 on behalf of a select number of high net-worth families. Spinnaker's focus includes venture capital, private equity, hedge funds, real estate, and special public equity opportunities. Spinnaker has made investments across industries including technology, healthcare, industrial, and consumer related businesses. Traditionally, Spinnaker Capital also takes an active role in the formation of new funds and investment organizations. It provides initial start-up capital, makes lead LP commitments, serves as an adviser, and provides co-investment capital. Bollard Group clients have included Boston Scientific Corp. founders Peter Nicholas and John Abele.
