Sciens Capital Management is a globally diversified alternative investment management firm with roughly $5.5 Billion dedicated to alternative investments. Sciens' clients include financial institutions, pension funds, private banks, foundations, endowments, family offices and high net worth individuals. Sciens manages $3.5 billion for its funds of hedge funds activity, and has a few different funds of hedge funds including a natural resources, a CTA and a managed accounts focused funds of funds. Prior to September 2008, Sciens Capital had modest exposure to fund of hedge funds industry. In September 2009, Sciens Capital acquired Atlas Capital Limited, a FoFs investment advisor based in London, and also its fund manager Sigma Asset Management based in Guersey. In early 2009, Sciens Capital became the sub-advisor to several FoFs of the Fairfield Greenwich Group. In early 2010, Sciens Capital acquired the managed account platform of Partners Group.
