Blue Tip Energy Partners, LP is an energy-focused private equity fund managed by Blue Tip Energy Management, LLC. Blue Tip Energy's managers are a self-contained energy investing and operating group that have worked together as a team since 1998. Blue Tip Energy seeks to invest capital in the upstream energy industry, providing its investors with financial returns at a moderate risk. The Fund targets returns net to investors of 25% IRR and 2.2 times cash on cash. Blue Tip Energy will pursue the same proven investment strategy building a portfolio of 6 to 8 investments totaling about $30 million each. Specifically, the strategy targets underperforming oil and natural gas assets, less than $40 million in value, through negotiated transactions where Blue Tip can control operations. The firm's targeted investment sizes range up to $25 million, however an additional 'follow-on' capital between $5 to $20 million is deployed to optimize and develop the field. Blue Tip has an additional office in Denver, and is currently looking for investments in the U.S., predominately in Texas, Mid-Continent, and Rocky Mountain region.
