Heartland Angels, Inc. is a private equity network that brings together accredited investors with early stage start-up companies and real estate opportunities looking for equity and debt investments. The group matches investors and startup companies through a process of due diligence designed specifically for start-up and early stage companies. Potential investment opportunities are presented to the network investors monthly. A minimum amount of $5,000 is required when an investment is made. A capital investment request from the presenting company in the general range of $250,000 to $2,000,000 is appropriate for consideration by the network. Investments outside this range will be considered on a case by case basis. Heartland focuses on companies within a 300-mile radius of Chicago. Heartland's founder is a physician who has practiced medicine for 25 years.
