The Cleantech Open is a not-for-profit organization that runs the world's largest accelerator for cleantech startups. The accelerator's mission is to find, fund and foster entrepreneurs with big ideas that address today's most urgent energy, environmental and economic challenges. Since its inception in 2006, the Cleantech Open has awarded over $6 million in cash and services. The 865 participating companies in the accelerator's programs have raised more than $900 million in external capital. Cleantech Open's programs include their Accelerator and Business Competition, Global Ideas Competition, and the Global Cleantech Innovation Program (GCIP).
