Mike Anderson

Founded in 1987, Sierra Angels is an angel investment group with principal focus in Northern Nevada and the I-80 corridor of Northern California. Its 50 members are primarily former business owners and senior corporate executives experienced in financing and developing emerging enterprises, who provide seed-stage investments in promising local technology ventures and support the entrepreneurs they fund with mentoring and connections. Preferred industries include Clean Energy and Green Technology, Computing and Communications, Health Sciences, Mobile and Web 2.0, Software, and Technology. The Sierra Angels have invested in more than fifty companies to date. The Sierra Angels are especially attracted to business plans with capital needs of $250,000 to $2,000,000 and have the potential to produce over $50 million in annual revenues. The group has funded more than 70 early stage companies.
